Regina,

We stayed at your place in September 2017 while visiting our son who attended the University in Santa Cruz. We chose your place because of your good reviews. What I found was quite the contrast.

Here is the review I posted on your listing that you, unfortunately, had removed:

If you’re looking for a quiet place to rest your head, this is NOT your place.

Old, lumpy pillows.

Filthy, moldy shower and shower liner. No soap or shower gel in the bathroom. Just a used bar of soap. Yuck.

Loud, banging noises came from the kitchen at 6:30 on Sunday morning. Never got back to sleep because of the racket in the kitchen. Not to mention the loud neighbors at night.

What is up with that constant beeping coming from the street?

You were a bit less than welcoming when we arrived. We accidentally went to the house next door and when we were coming from the front steps. You saw us, and obviously annoyed, asked if we were looking for the Airbnb. Wouldn’t it have been a better choice to ask kindly if we were the guests looking for your home? You were in such a hurry to get to a party, so you rushed out, after hurriedly telling us where to find the house key.

As an Airbnb Superhost host, I am very welcoming and conscientious about having the bathroom spotless with all the essentials for our guests.

I would not recommend staying here if you want comfort, cleanliness, and quiet.

The bedroom was clean as was the little half bathroom with the toilet, however, not the room with the shower. We had to walk through the kitchen and down a hallway to get to the bathroom with the shower. You also moved your car in the street so we can park in the driveway, which was thoughtful. Very limited street parking. The listing states that “parking can be interesting.” “Difficult” would be more accurate. When we arrived, we had to park quite a distance from your home.

If a clean shower is what you’d expect, you won’t find that your place. :(

We booked here because of the great reviews. “Clean, quiet...”
We wouldn’t recommend Regina’s place, nor will we be returning.
