My best friend growing up was always my twin brother, who came out to at 17.

MY best friend in junior high, besides my twin, was Russell, who also came out as a young adult. Sadly, he was murdered in his early 30s. I still miss him.

I had a gay male roommate (my twin's ex-lover) for two years. I loved going to the gay clubs with him because I never had to worry about guys hitting on me. I was a thin blonde with large breasts, so it was refreshing to be able to go dancing without being gawked at.

Today, I still have countless gay and lesbian and trans friends.
